Visitors are great to have, particularly if you have a presentable home with a comfortable guestroom. The coming of a guest can be a horrifying moment if you are not prepared – with your house in a mess and no room to offer your guest. So, why not consider creating a guestroom today?

The guestroom can be any room in your home – a reading room or an exercise room. It can also be something you want built adjacent to your house, but you might not have the time if your visitor is due in a couple of days! So, think about converting any available room for the time being. The guestroom does not have to be luxurious to be comfortable. By simply cleaning and filling it up with necessary items, you make it a relaxing place. Make a cosy bed by placing a good mattress and adding fresh beddings, down comforter, extra blankets and pillows. Clear a desk or counter where the guest can set down his or her luggage, and provide a side chair, as well. Get rid of unnecessary stuff to make the room more spacious. Supplement the room light with a reading light. Provide extra storage like hooks on the walls and drawer space. Provide your guests with toiletries, towel, slippers, pen, paper, and other necessities. If you may, place a snack basket and fresh flowers.
