Having an Interior Designer Even on a Budget
Home improvement projects usually require quite a large budget even just with the cost of materials. This is why you would usually think twice about hiring interior designers as their services will lead to more expenses. However, there are ways you can still avail of their expert opinion without having to go out on a limb.
One option is to hire a designer by the hour. This works well if you just need advice on furniture arrangement, colour, and textile. You can ask for sketches and have some of your questions regarding your renovations answered. There might also be a design centre in your area that offers consultation for walk-in clients. Another idea is to avail of the free service of in-house designers posted in retail stores. However, they tend to include the product they are promoting in the plan for your home. You could also use an online design service which requires the measurements and a photo of your room. One last option is to consult a designer and do the fixtures yourself to save on labour costs. But be sure to inform your consultant about your do-it-yourself plans.
