Replacing the Windows

Older mobile homes have jalousie windows that open outwards, while today’s mobile homes use vertical or horizontal sliders. Some even have double-hung windows. Installing replacement windows can be done by hiring a professional or doing it on your own.

Installing PVC windows

Windows come in standard sizes. Ideally, the existing window is to be taken out first before you can measure the hole. Make sure that the opening is a perfect square shape. If in case it is a little off, there are shims you can buy to ensure the replacement windows would fit. You will also need to adjust the size of the opening depending on what size of windows you want to install.
